Restocking fee or..?
We had a customer return something under "Item Defective or Doesn't Work" with the comment, "Broken." What we got back was missing several important pieces, like the mounting brackets, cover, and all installation hardware, and the single piece returned has clearly been heavily used with a lot physical damage to it, including stripped screws and areas of metal grinding. It looks like the switch and return tactic. My question is can I charge a 50% restocking fee for this? Or do I let Amazon refund and hope I can get a SAFE-T claim approved?

Hello @Seller_1bBDcCv6vThVf
Thank you for visiting the seller forums. I am sorry to hear about the problem with what was apparently a switcheroo on the return.
Yes, a 50% restocking fee is allowed per the help pages titled Guidelines for charging restocking fees.
Thank you for selling on Amazon.
