BWU2 Shipments via Auspost

Anyone else had issues with Auspost not delivering BWU2 shipments? I’ve had 2 shipments in transit, 1 has been at Ingleburn DC for almost 2 weeks and the 2nd one for a week.

I have a feeling either Amazon has asked Auspost to hold them or Auspost are holding them for some reason.

Had the same issue. I think the issue is, BWU2 is new warehouse and not a lot Auspost delivery are familiar with amazon delivery booking process yet.

Yeah same issue here with sending in parcels with Australia Post to BWU2. There has been a hold on deliveries since 31st of March.

I have 8 shipments in transit, 2 of the earlier ones were sent to a facility in Gledswood Hills and the other 6 are waiting to be booked in for delivery.

I don’t think it is just Australia Post, it seems there is an issue with receiving at BWU2… If anyone has any further info on this it would be great to know

Same issue
We sent our stuff on Friday 8th April. Still bouncing backwards & forwards
The flood occurred early this month before Friday 8th of April… And BWUW2 area didn’t experience flooding

Just lodged a case this morning…
We should all do it so Australia post will take some preventative actions .

This same issue has happened before with sending stock into BWU1 in late 2021.

In late 2021 there was a Covid outbreak which caused BWU1 to shut down operation for a week. As a result Australia Post had to hold off deliveries to the FBA warehouse.

In current circumstances, not sure what is happening with BWU2 but perhaps they are struggling with receiving shipments and this is why Australia Post is unable to obtain a delivery slot for the immediate future.

In 2021 it took about 4 weeks from shipping until all the my items were received into the FBA warehouse.

A note to anyone that is concerned about there shipments, I would say be prepared to wait 4 weeks and don’t stress too much about it as the shipments will eventually get there.

In early April (around 5 April) BWU2 made an abrupt and instantaneous change to receiving inbound stock to Kemps Creek which affected all inbound small parcel deliveries (15 cartons or less).

Even though the change was made without any forward notice, Amazon BWU2 rejected any and all deliveries which did not comply.

The changes were (none of these are publishable in the Carrier Central manual nor anywhere in Seller Central:

Small Parcel Deliveries (SPD - under 15 cartons)
Cars, utes and commuter vans are rejected from entry

And,

All shipments over 15 cartons must now be palletised.

Meaning…

If Couriers Please, FASTWAY or AusPost have 200 cartons in their depot ready for delivery to Amazon, where they use to do a booking for a Floor-Loaded delivery and hand unload the van or truck onto pallets and scan all of the cartons - this was rejected by Amazon without notice.

Instead, all carriers have to take the individual cartons from hundreds of sellers, make an LTL shipment booking and then palletise and wrap all cartons then take the truck in to be unloaded by forklift.

Hence, whilst Couriers Please, FASTWAY and AusPost have been guilty of slow practices in the past, in this case, it is not their fault.

The system was brought in by Amazon with no notice whatsoever causing a huge backlog of freight by every carrier that now has to palletise all inbound deliveries.

So, even if you only sent two cartons into Amazon Kemps Creek. Chances are those two cartons are sitting at a depot whilst all of the freight companies arrange timeslot bookings and the cartons are packed onto pallets and wrapped ready for delivery to Kemps Creek.

There appears to be no reasoning as to why Amazon never provided any advance warning to any sellers or freight companies about any of the changes at Kemps Creek.

And, still to this date, Amazon has not notified any sellers of any such changes despite the fact they occurred nearly three weeks ago.

Yes for 2 of my packages, one sent 3 weeks ago and another 2 weeks. I spoke to Australia Post about the one posted 3 weeks ago and they told me Amazon rejected the package, so I have no idea what’s going on. Amazon have been completely useless is letting me know why and now I have to wait anther 1-2 weeks for it to come back to me.
