FDA's labeling requirements

I have received notifications that "This product has been identified as an unapproved product that does not meet the FDA's labeling requirements. Amazon policy prohibits the sale of products marketed to U.S. consumers that are labeled only in a foreign language or that do not meet FDA labeling requirements." about one of my products. I have submitted an appeal for reinstatement and have the product in English label. I have submitted all the pictures on my detail page and they still deactivate my listing.

I kept asking why they wouldn't approve for my reinstatement but every time I tried to ask for help they sent the same messages all over again. They once recommended that to "Kindly provide product ingredient images in English language" Yet I did that but they still did not let me reactivate the ASIN T.T

Can any Mods take a look at my case ID, please? this is frustrating

I understand you have questions regarding a restricted product policy as it concerns an item you have listed for sale.

In terms of cosmetics, there are several different requirements you will want to ensure are met when listing the products. Cosmetics labels and detail pages must be labeled in English with the following information:

  • The name of the product
  • The purpose or use of the product (such as cleansing the body, reducing the appearance of wrinkles, moisturizing the skin)
  • The amount of content of the cosmetic, in terms of weight, measure, count or a combination (such as 30 oz, 5 mL, 10 pills, 5 lb)
  • The ingredient list
  • The name and address of the manufacturer, packer, or distributor (this is not required on detail pages)
  • Any necessary label warnings
  • Cosmetic labels and detail pages must not:
  • State that the products cure, mitigate, treat, or prevent a disease in humans, unless that statement is approved by the FDA and the product is properly labeled as both a cosmetic and a drug
  • State that the cosmetics are “FDA approved” if they are not FDA approved
  • Use the FDA logo
  • State “tester,” “not for retail sale,” or “not intended for resale” as such items may not be sold on Amazon

For more information, go to the US Food and Drug Administration's resources.

Is there any foreign letters on the packaging at all? Have you also updated the listing images?

Outside of this, you will also want to consider the requirements by the FDA (which can be accessed through the help page linked above and will redirect you to an external page) and ensure they meet those requirements.

Alternatively, if you believe this is an error and the product is compliant with the policy cited, I suggest providing all evidence and pictures of the item from all sides, all labels and instructions, as well as packaging in a new case submission.

Feel free to further provide relevant information or ask questions in your next reply, as the community and I are here to support you.

All the best,

Stevie.
