Featured Offer Not Eligible with no apparent reason

For the last two weeks, we have had really low sales, and when I checked my listings all of the items in the category of books are listed as "NO" when it comes to featured offer availability.

No problems with the account, it is in perfect standing, professional seller plan, and all metrics are good, no problem with late shipments and eligibilities just switched to NO. We are talking about over 20,000 items. Customer service was not helpful when I called because all they could do it look at it and have no insight. They cannot disclose why even though everything is 100% perfect with the account. Literally, during the busiest time of the year it automatically gets switched to no and all your listings now become ineligible for any buyer-to-purchase support cannot give any valid explanation aside from the Amazon system can just turn on or off as they decide when all account aspects show it should be switched to “YES”. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

Hello @Seller_vAsla0T6Vtyy4

Thank you for posting your inquiry to the Forums.

There are a variety of factors that comprise featured offer eligibility. I've included some resources that may be helpful to reference below.

How do I become eligible for the Featured Offer?

Featured Offer eligibility is based on a variety of factors that can affect the customer experience. These factors are evaluated for all sellers, even if you are the only seller. Below are a couple of examples:

  • Type of selling plan: If you are fulfilling orders yourself, you must have a Professional Selling Plan.
  • Metrics: Your Order Defect Rate, Cancellation Rate, and Late Shipment Rate are metrics that help determine eligibility—the better you perform, the higher your chances are of becoming Featured Offer eligible. You can see how you're doing on the Account Health page.

Seller Central: Featured Offer Info & Eligibility Checker

Seller Central: Becoming the Featured Offer

  1. Price your items competitively
  2. Offer faster shipping and free shipping (Note: Products with faster estimated delivery times are also more likely to be the featured offers on product detail pages)
  3. Provide great customer service
  4. Keep stock available.

Seller Central - View Featured Offer (Buy Box) Eligibility in Manage Inventory

  • First, check eligibility
  • Then, in Seller Central, go to your Manage Inventory page and then click Preferences
  • Select Featured Offer (Buy Box) Eligible, and at the bottom of the page, click Save Changes
  • The Featured Offer (Buy Box) Eligible column will display the status for each of your ASINs

How can I drive sales without the Featured Offer?

  • Use high resolution images with clear detail.
  • Include key features with benefits listed in your bullet points.
  • Make sure your product is classified in the right category for easier discovery through browsing.
  • Research the competition as you develop a compelling price point.
  • Follow up each order with great customer service.
  • Offer free shipping, which can encourage buyers come back to Amazon.

It sounds like you have already created a case with Support regarding this concern. Would you mind sharing that case ID number with me so I can review your issue fully and read through the correspondence already provided?

Regards,

Quincy_Amazon
