Buyer got refunded the full amount because shipment arrived late (repost cause last forum agent did not help me)

Order was purchased on Tuesday September 17th at 10AM, I dropped off the package on Wednesday September 18th at 7:46 AM, September 20th package was held by UPS because APT number is incorrect or missing, order arrived on Sept 25th when I got everything resolved with UPS, buyer got refunded because order arrived too late? Below is the attachment of buyer getting refunded / me emailing him asking him to send it back because I do not do a returnless refund, also opened 2 safe T claim and both got denied after going back and forth. Please someone help me, I cannot lose ~$600 just because UPS delayed the package. (date on picture may differ because I got a call from UPS since the 20th)

Wow this is crazy, and likely organized fraud... i would report the address to the postal service and UPS...

Also file a *Safe-T claim.

Trying Safe-T claim. Luckly you had bought shipping label from Amazon than your own courier's account... In this case you may get the compensate from Amazon at a very high possibility.

This has happened to me as well. I believe the key issue is that the tracking number reports "package is returning to seller". Amazon will not understand that the package was not returned to seller but did deliver to the buyer. I tried for weeks but Amazon's final resolution was for me to reach out to the carrier, I did but they wouldn't do anything because the package delivered to the buyer, albeit late. I gave up after a few weeks.

On another note, I strongly caution against threatening the buyer in any way. Saying "I will have to charge your card" is an empty threat because amazon does not allow sellers access to such capabilities. Amazon can penalize you for how you speak to buyers.

Good luck!

Create a SAFE-T claim quick. And you may have to dedicate some time to be on the phone with amazon support until you get someone that will think outside of the flowchart they usually read from.

Hello @Seller_PPww3SufKfXef

Christine here from Amazon Forums.

The Seller Assurance for E-Commerce Transactions (SAFE-T) program allows you to request compensation from Amazon after a refund is deducted from your account and issued to the buyer. When we issue a refund to a buyer and you believe you are not at fault, you can file a claim for reimbursement via SAFE-T. For more information, go to Reimbursement for seller-fulfilled network prepaid returns.

Thank you @Seller_KcEtz9Bkb8qhY @Seller_l0tZlOZZcwGPO @Seller_dB6w3MwKjuOjL and @Seller_iUVUkM3l2g2hz for your participation in this thread.

Hope you all have a great day and happy holidays !
