Refund on FBA orders
Dear Amazon Team,
I just started doing FBA and I encountered a refund on my first order.
64.82 USD is transferred to my account from this order ($83 - $18.18). Afterwards, when the money is refunded, 75.62 USD is charged to my account($83 - $7.38). Where does this difference come from? Why am I losing money from this transaction? Frankly, I have difficulty understanding this.
Additionally, no information was given as to why the customer requested a refund. Is there a problem with the product? Although the product appears to have been delivered, the customer has not received it? Which one of these? Where can I learn?
Thanks in advance.

The net cost is the FBA delivery fee.
And the learning is... this is just a cost of doing business on Amazon. Customers value the ability to do "no reason" FBA returns, so sellers getting extra sales from doing FBA just need to plan for this cost.
And separately, if FBA lost the product during delivery then the seller is not penalised. If the refund was charged to your account then the refund would be due to another reason - most liklely the product being returned.
