Is Amazon support AI or real people? Is anyone else having the experience where you ask a very specific question and they completely ignore and give you some non relevant answer?
For instance, I have an FBA package thats been delivered but not checked in. When asking them how long the investigation into where it is will take- they refuse to answer and give me a status update on the package.

Combination of both until you really get your case escalated to the leadership, captive or executive seller relations team.
It's because, there's actually no way to know. It's stuck in a trailer in a FBA warehouse parking lot. When they get to it, they get to it.
