imoprter of record

still trying to understand Amazon global logistics. As i understand there needs to an IOR, which cant be Amazon. Can i, who lives in europe, sending shipment from china to usa stand as IOR? how will i go about obtaining customs bond and other documents needed to make sure my inbound is good to go? also isnt AGL supposed to be "all in one/door to door" shipping service? if IOR(not amazon) have to pay for customs/import duties/taxes/fees then its not really "all in one payment" is it? also who will be power of attorney?. Does anyone know how much all this will cost for around 375kg, or how do i calculate these fees?

check this link for IOR - https://sellercentral.amazon.com/help/hub/reference/G200280280?mons_redirect=stck_reroute "The IOR is responsible for: (1) ensuring the imported shipment complies with local laws and regulations, (2) filing an entry declaration with any associated documents, and (3) paying the import duties, taxes, and fees associated with the shipment. You may also be required to obtain a customs bond as security for your imported shipments to ensure that all duties, taxes, and fees owed to the government are paid."

While on the other hand amazon claims to help with custom clearance

"Amazon coordinates inspections, loading, and transfer from your warehouse to the fulfillment center. We also help with export and import customs clearance." - https://sellercentral.amazon.com/gssportal/index.html

ps: I have no problem to pay for customs or taxes, i just need help to understand AGL and how many fees i need to pay to get my shipment to usa. can someone please explain this?

Good Evening @Seller_bKRJ6cHNYbX8i,

You will have to be your own importer of record and work with a customs broker. Here is help page that discusses the seller should find their own broker:

When you expand your business to an Amazon marketplace outside your home country and fulfill with Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) or a third-party fulfillment provider, you'll need to understand your obligations in the import/export process. Although you may want to handle some or all of these import/export steps yourself, it can be easier to hire a logistics provider such as a customs broker or a freight forwarder to handle the process for you. These providers may have the expertise and the time to make sure your inventory moves from one place to another in a timely and secure manner.

If you engage the services of a customs broker or a freight forwarder to help you move inventory from one country to another, you must engage them directly. You must also directly make the arrangements for establishing the importer or exporter of record. Amazon cannot act in that capacity or make these arrangements for you.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions regarding the information we have provided above or you may contact Selling Partner Support at anytime. Have a wonderful rest of the week.

Sincerely, Cooper_Amazon
