Declined selling application

hello, I’m new on Amazon and so confused, I applied for a selling application and got approved for 1, the rest decline me and send an automated message saying:

“ We reviewed your application and determined that you are not eligible to sell this product. We checked the information you provided, but it did not pass our review. This decision is based on many factors to help ensure a good shopping experience for our customers. We value your participation and appreciate your understanding.“

I checked my invoice and even made sure my business name was correct AND it’s a commercial invoice not proforma or anything else but I don’t understand since 1 selling application was approved my invoice must have been correct? So why am I getting declined from these brands? And it’s literally food storage so it’s very generic not like Nike or adidas please help what am I doing wrong? Is it because I’m new? Is there some sort of secret method I don’t know about??? Please help!!

Good Evening @Essential_,

I wanted to stop by and share some feedback regarding the selling application process. Sellers generally submit one selling application and then get feedback from the review team if more information is required.

Once rejected the team requests new or additional documentation on that same application. Continuing to reapply for the same brand on new cases may be the reason why you are receiving the auto-rejection notifications.

I did want to provide the a link for Amazon's Responsible Sourcing documentation request requirements. Listed below are the requirements for sourcing documentation request:

Copies of invoices, receipts or other similar documents that demonstrate where your products are produced or manufactured

These documents:

  • Should reflect the sales volume of your product across all Amazon marketplaces in the last 365 days
  • Should demonstrate your product’s full supply chain
  • Should include contact information for the supplier(s) and the original manufacturer. We may contact suppliers or manufacturers to verify the documents

Your documents should be able to trace your products to the original manufacturer even if you did not purchase them directly from the original manufacturer. This may require requesting additional invoices or supply chain documentation from your supplier if you are not sourcing directly from the manufacturer.

You may remove pricing information, but the rest of the document must be visible to enable adequate review of the documents you provide. For ease of our review, you may highlight or circle the ASIN(s) under review.

Also a letter of authorization can also be a valuable addition to your appeal in these situations if you’re sourcing directly from the brand or their manufacturer.

Lastly, here is a Seller University resource that addresses Invoice requirements for when you apply to sell.

Without a case ID, I am not specifically sure what the original feedback the team provided you with but, please carefully review all the feedback provided, in addition to what I have discussed above so you may continue moving forward in the application process. Hope you have a great rest of the week.

Sincerely, Cooper_Amazon
