Brand Registry + GS-1 = Hijacked Listing

Amazon is absurd.

I provided seller "support" with ASIN, model code, date I created the ASIN under MY brand, as the manufacturer, with BRAND REGISTRY and using my GS-1 registered UPC Code (which I provided proof to Amazon of) and Amazon replys with "if you think someone infringed on your intellectual property..."

Amazon literally DOES NOT CARE that customers are being scammed by a hijacked listing into believing the feedback is for the scammers.

The kicker? Even if I want to list against my own ASIN (which I will not unless Amazon pulls their heads out of their buttox.) I have to request permission. from... the hijacker.

This is a monster that Amazon created, and why I continue to predict that the world's largest retailer, who does not allow this to happen on their platform, will overtake Amazon.

Thanks for a place to vent into the void. I expect nothing to be done about this because Amazon can literally see the history of the item, from when I created it with our GS-1 UPC to when it was hijacked YEARS later. The brand registry with Amazon is WORTHLESS.

Hello @Seller_G4tLYribqKTD0,

My name is Dougal from the Community Manager Team and I would be happy to assist. This is unfortunately not that rare of an occurrence and I would be happy to research and escalate accordingly.

Please, can you provide that case ID you have with Seller Support? Ultimately, I only need the ASIN and can start my investigation from there, but If Seller Support has already knocked out some steps, that might help to expedite my process.

Happy to assist wherever I can, just get me that case ID.

Thank you,

Dougal
