A partial refund has been made for the order, but the system still refunds the full amount. The customer has already agreed to a partial refund

I would like to ask, the customer applied for a refund and return, and has communicated with the customer, and the customer agreed to a partial refund, but was still fully refunded, why is this? I've made a partial refund at the order refund there.

That is because you cannot negotiate a partial refund unless the item is not returned.

No matter what you or the buyer says, Amazon RFS will always refund in full. FBM sellers are allowed to file a safe-T claim to seek a reimbursement, based on the return reason the buyer selected.

Hi @Seller_H0SBqWVlllqQn,

Steve from Amazon here, thank you for reaching out. You might be eligible for reimbursement if a customer has been refunded for one of the following reasons. This list does not guarantee a reimbursement, and Amazon maintains all rights to determine what reimbursement value, if any, is issued.

You may be eligible for reimbursement if:

  • Your service appointment could not be completed, and is eligible for a Trip Credit
  • You have been charged a penalty fee that you believe is incorrect and would like to dispute it
  • Amazon determines that the order was cancelled unintentionally or incorrectly
  • Amazon has pre-approved a second service appointment for correction of an issue

Please reference this resource for more information. I am also providing additional resources below as they may be helpful in the future.

Returns, refunds, cancellations, and claims

Prepaid returns for seller-fulfilled orders

Thanks,

Steve
