Amazon Going Down Hill - SFP OTD Metrics Unfair - Incompetent Amazon Support Reps
We are probably going to get our SFP deactivated again due to Amazon's unfair On Time Delivery Metrics. It is crazy that Amazon can punish us for things like weather and UPS trucks breaking down. We have done everything within our power to get orders to customers on time, extending handling times, working with UPS reps, etc... but Amazon does not care.
Amazon says they will account for weather but only if the weather is sever. So, if they feel the rain storm is not severe enough then we get penalized. This is unfair. Any type of weather that causes a delay should not count. A weather delay is a weather delay, whether it be a little rain or a category 5 hurricane!
Opening cases gets no where and Amazon reps do not even know how the metrics work. If you are going to shut down my SFP and tank my sales the least you could do is train your reps to know why I am losing my SFP.
Here is more recent exchange with an Amazon Rep on this case.
"Based on your OTDR for week 4 (1/26-2/1), we have exempted 92.20% of the late delivered orders with promise extensions: 201/218 units fulfilled. Please see the attached screenshot for your reference."

- This is not how it works. Amazon did not exempt 92.20% of our orders. 92.20% is our OTD score if Amazon also scored us on orders that had Promise Extensions. Only 25 of our orders had Promise Extensions, not 218. In the screenshot you can see that Without Promise Extensions is 176/193 and With Promise Extensions has 201/218, both these numbers are 25 more, that means 25 of our order has Promise Extensions. We only had 222 SFP orders during the time period (can also see this in the screenshot I just attached) so there is no way we had 193 orders Without Extension and 218 With Extension.
"We recommend reviewing your speed report to identify which products are having the most impact on your performance. For products that are not performing well with Prime, consider disabling them to protect your SFP performance. Not all products can be delivered quickly for Prime customers, and it’s important to ensure that your Prime listings meet the expectations of fast and reliable delivery. Customers trust Prime listings to deliver products promptly, so maintaining this standard is key to your success."
- It is not a product issue. I have told Amazon many times this is not the case. It is due to weather that Amazon feels is not sever enough to give us a pass on, or UPS issues, like mechanical issues. We have done everything in our control to get the orders to our customers on time, extend handling times, working with UPS rep, getting our orders to UPS on time etc... but we cannot control the weather or a UPS truck or plane breaking down!
These metrics seem to be another way to get SFP Sellers over to FBA, but that does not work with out products. We have 300K+ SKUS that do not turn very fast. We would pay too much in storage fees. The only companies in auto parts that can afford to do all FBA are Chinese Sellers backed by big Chinese money that do not care about making profit and just going after market share. Amazon is becoming a race to the bottom Chinese swap meet.

we are having similar issues and i'm sure the entire country is as well. I'm working on taking legal action on both Amazon and UPS/Fedex as this is out of our control and anyone's control. Anyone else having issues should contact us and we can get together and get this resolved.

Thank you for sharing this support message you received about SFP exemptions. If you share the Case ID I will include it with my message to our partner team to make sure support shares accurate information.

Amazon has no mercy.
Here are several from our last week late defect report. All of these were outside of our control. There is nothing we could do to prevent these late orders. We are going to lose SFP again and our sales will plummet. People's jobs are at jeopardy here.
