Cease and Desist Letter Not From the Brand Owner
Hello Everyone-
I received a Cease and Desist letter that states:
"This firm represents ABC Company in connection with your unauthorized sales of Product Z on Amazon. ABC Company has an exclusive agreement with Product Z for the sale of their products on Amazon. Your sale of these products violates that agreement and may violate Product Z's trademark. Further, your sales are likely to cause confusion, to cause mistake, or to deceive consumers.
Accordingly, this letter shall constitute demand that you immediately cease and desist all such slaes. Unless you remove all Product Z items from your storefront and all other unauthorized we websites, permanently refrain from selling any and all Product Z items, and identify all sources of Product Z you are selling. ABC Company intends to take escalated legal action against you."
Firstly let me state I purchase from an authorized distributor but do not have written permission from the brand owner. Secondly, it seems as if the person who sent the letter is not the brand owner, but states that they have an agreement with the brand owner. How can I violate an agreement I was not part off? Wouldn't it be up to the brand owner to send a cease and desist or file an infringement claim.
What are your thought? Should I just remove these?
Thanks for your help!

As per policy, you must be a brand authorized reseller to sell new products on Amazon.
