2 LED Bulbs identified as Headlight Conversion Kit - At Risk of Deactivation

I am hoping for some help with an appeal.

We had a couple LED bulbs that were listed that were not labeled as Fog Light bulbs in the listing but are clearly marked as Auxiliary use only on the packaging.

We received a call and notice on our account that if we do not appeal this that our account will be deactivated.

We need some help with the appeal, the first one was denied.

here is what I have started.

I have read the Amazon ‘Prohibited Product Claims’ and ‘Restricted Products’ policies. Check

I have reviewed ALL my listed items to ensure they comply with Amazon policies. Check

Identify the primary reason for your restricted product violations:

Training Issue

Technical Issue

Other

Please provide a brief explanation of your primary reason for your restricted product violation:

The LED Blubs we listed against on Amazon were not compliant with FMVSS No. 108 and were not described properly in Amazon. Which could lead some customers in thinking that these could be used for Headlights.

Provide resources you will use to comply with all applicable local laws and regulations and with Amazon's policies (can be links to websites/policies):

571.108 Standard No. 108; Lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment.

Links to Amazon Policies. etc.

Thank you for the information provided regarding the issues that have occurred with the product and the restrictions that our team believes are associated. I understand that the listing was not originally set up to clarify the intended use. We would recommend ensuring that you have updated the information so that the details are completely accurate to the utilization and attributes. Additionally, the rest of your inventory should be reviewed to ensure that each listing is also compliant to avoid any kind of repeat concerns.

Once you have confirmed that it has been updated, you should be able to submit an appeal with the issue you identified, the steps you took to resolve it, and the processes you will be implementing to ensure that this does not become a continued issue. Our team will review this information and take the appropriate action on the account. What type of response have you received as of now regarding the issues? Have you attempted to provide anything additional for review?

We will ask that you refer back to this thread with any updates so we may provide more specific guidance.

Best,

Atlas

We had the same thing. The items of ours that were flagged were interior LED conversion kits. We tried to appeal stating that headlights are on the outside of the vehicle and these kits are for the the interior. It didn’t matter, Amazon rejected them. Appeals on these are a waste of time, but what Amazon doesn’t tell you is that deleting the listings also counts against you. The only way for them not to count against you is to win the appeal which is impossible when apparently no one at Amazon has common sense and just goes along with the bots that flag the listings in the first place. They then tell you to review all your listings to make sure that they are in compliance. How can they be when there was nothing wrong with the listings flagged in the first place. Automatically guilty of a violation and no way to prove you are innocent…….
