upc barcode problem

hello guys,

i am trying to launch a product with 2 sizes, and i bought 2 GTIN from GS1 and entered the upc barcode on my amazon list.

i get this message :The SKU does not match any ASIN and contains invalid value(s) for attributes required for creation of a new ASIN.

if anyone might know what the problem is, even the smallest one i would really like your help.

thank you :)

You normally get that error message when you either have an invalid value or a missing value from a required field. If you are receiving a specific error message number, please post what it is.

if when i chose on the GTIN barcode a brand name that is the same as my first product brand name (also on the barcode)

it might be because of that?

Hello @Seller_huBBX4q6pvFh9,

Michelle at Amazon here. I am sorry to hear that you are having issues with your barcode that you purchased from GS1. As @Seller_f4a7xAPCCSMqD stated, it may be an issue with the information from GS1 not syncing with our system yet, which can take up to a week. Another reason could be that the information in GS1 for the barcode owner is not matching the information that you are entering on Amazon. Enure that the brand you are entering on the site matches what is in GS1.

I hope this information is helpful.

Regards,

Michelle

I am having the exact same issue today. I just purchased 2 x GTIN from GS1 yesterday and getting the same error message. The brand entered in GS1 at time of purchase matches my registered brand on Amazon.

Did you resolve your issue?

I doubt it's the issue, but Amazon rarely trim()s their data inputs (removes whitespace from front and back) so if you copy and paste data and it picks up some whitespace, Amazon will barf on it.

Extra annoying is that when Amazon displays data on their site, it's almost always with forced whitespace ( ) on either end, so if you copy & paste Amazon's own data into its own forms you get FAIL.

It's like a tech company.
