If I poly bag does Amazon measure the dimensions of the bag or the actual product?
If I use poly bags that are say 1 inch wider than the product am I going to end up being charged more in storage fees?

Hi @Seller_jXBjtrv0r3REx,
Thank you for reaching out on the Seller Forums! Happy to see that other sellers jumped in here to provide you with an answer.
To echo what has already been said, Amazon uses a variety of sensors instrumented throughout fulfillment centers to capture item measurements. The measurement sensors will capture your item packaging edge-to-edge, including loose material, such as plastic bags, or loose parts, such as handles.
To minimize the dimensions of deformable packaging, ensure that the packaging does not exhibit loose material by using methods such as tight-fitting or vacuum-sealed polybags, or taped flaps, so that the dimensions of the same item packages are as similar to each other as possible. For more information and best practices regarding weight and dimensions of packages, I'd recommend reading through this resource.
I hope this helps clarify! If you have any additional questions, please let me know!
Thanks again,
Jameson
