Login required every time I return to browser

Is anyone else experiencing this? Every time I close my browser window and then return, every time I leave my computer for more than 15 minutes, and every time I start my browser after a PC restart, Seller Central requires that I log in again. But, the login has changed. It requires that I use a QR code to log in, in addition to the code sent to my phone to confirm that it is me. This goes on all day long. I understand that we need security when using Seller Central, but this is a huge inconvenience that wastes a lot of time in the work day. I am using Chrome on Windows 11.

Try not closing out the browser window. That is like hanging up and calling back over, and over, and over.

I am getting this too, even if I keep the Seller Central window open. I have to log in again after about 10 minutes of inactivity. This behavior started about a month ago. I am typically forced to log in 5 or 6 times per day.

Frustrating waste of time, and potentially problematic if their OTP system chokes up.

In my case, you also have to go get your phone 3 rooms away. or in your car so you can get the code to logg back in. This is getting old. Some people do not keep their phone next to them 24/7

i am also experiencing this inconvenience. I haven't tried any solution yet, but I wondering if disconnecting 2-factor verification, then re-setting it would work. Anyone?

Oh, and by the way, I do not close my browser, and I do not close the Amazon Seller Central tab, yet it still kicks me off.

And it doesn't make any difference if I use Chrome, Edge,or any other browser

We have to login every time also but now they're not requiring the One Time Verification Code.

Just another way Amazon is making things confusing and stressful for sellers.

I have to use the OTP sometimes within minutes of logging in. I'll click away and do a few things or sometimes click a link to apply for approval and I have to enter the OTP over and over. A few times the system has locked me out for 24 hrs for requesting too many OTPs. This is a recent problem and VERY IRRITATING!

Hello all. I apologize for the frustration that 2FA has caused here and there are some things that you can check and some things that are out of Amazon's control for this based on browser or phone being used.

The below was pulled from this resource page that has additional FAQs and troubleshooting tips:

Do I always need to enter my Two-Step Verification code when I log in to my account?

After you have successfully accessed your account through the Two-Step Verification process, you can simplify future logins on computers and devices that you routinely use.

The next time you enter your code on your computer or device, tell us not to ask for a code on that device in the future by selecting Don't ask for codes on this device.

Note: This setting might reset itself for a number of reasons beyond Amazon’s control, so we’ll be unable to help you with any issues that you might experience. However, the following are known actions that may interfere with this feature:

  • Setting your browser to block the use of cookies
  • Clearing your cache or deleting cookies (check your web browser settings)
  • Updates to your PC, device, or apps on your device, including your web browsers
  • Accessing Seller Central from a web browser than the one you used to add your trusted device
  • Using a browser toolbar that affects browser settings
  • Using anonymous browser mode or programs that obscure identity, including the use of proxy and VPN servers
  • If you’ve used the seller mobile app, logging out of it might reset the trusted device status on your mobile device
  • Accessing Seller Central from different locations or networks (LAN, WAN, WLAN), or changes to your IP address

You may wish to also use an authenticator app versus having a code sent to you each time. I understand how frustrating this can be (we have to use it as well!) but it does provide the best protection against unauthorized access to your seller account, even if your password gets stolen and especially if you use the same password across multiple sites.
