New seller for three months now, only one item sold inspite of paying for weeks of advertising.
Hello All,
I have been an Amazon professional seller for six months now, my first shipment came in in May. My product listing includes video and key bullet points. I have paid for many weeks of advertising, created a promotion for my product, etc. I have done all I can to increase sales. After all these,my total sales amount to ONE item sold.
I cannot afford to continue paying for Amazon advertisements that brings zero sales.
I have only one review 4.5 star rating. Working with Amazon seems to be one way street. You pay and pay and pay some more and get nothing in return, except for, oh please try spending some more...
Can anyone give me advice on getting out of the red zone?
Thank you.

Its pretty amazing that you already have a good review with only one sale, I think the average is around 1/200 these days. If you want to post the asin I am sure a few of us would be happy to look at the product for you. Otherwise its just the regular questions, how much competition do you have, whats your price point in comparison and what other marketplaces are you in? How are those sales versus these?

One sale and one review? I hope that's not an organized review otherwise you are toast....
If you don't sell inspite of so much ads it means that there is no demand for that product.
Stop the ads, downgrade your "professional selling plan" to the free "Individual selling plan". If you have a lot of units at FBA create a partial removal order to avoid storage fees.
And then just forget it. If you sell, you will earn money. If you don't sell, at least you don't lose money.

So, which is it?
Your post says that you are "New seller for three months now" and then you proceed to say "I have been an Amazon professional seller for six months now".
So 3 or 6?
" Can anyone give me advice on getting out of the red zone? "
Random thoughts.
Do better research BEFORE you jump into any sales site.
Did you try doing any test selling on other sites to see if there is even any demand for the products? Did you play with pricing to see what amount of price elasticity there is (or isn't)?
Do as @Seller_rI7BZIczK8iAC notes and STOP the madness by stopping the worthless ads that only make AMAZON more money.
One of the first rules of business is to know ALL your costs BEFORE you establish a selling price.
Amazon profit margins suck due to competition from people that are willing to 'race to the bottom' as well as competing with Amazon.
I price my items so that I make a profit if/when they sell on here. If they don't sell here they will on one of the other sites I sell on that have LOWER FEES.
Jumping in and not knowing the costs is a self-inflicted wound no matter what site you choose to sell on.

Hi @Seller_ggcyawmDNuSVS
Paying to advertise is no guarantee of increased sales volume. However, you may improve your sales numbers if you optimize for product discoverability.
The linked help page addresses five key areas to focus on.
- Product detail page
- Titles
- Keywords
- Search Terms
- Optimize your brand’s listings
I hope this helps. Susan
