Guidance Needed for 'Medical Grade' Claim in Product Listings
Hello Seller Community,
I’m currently preparing a new product listing for adhesive tape and want to ensure that my product descriptions comply with Amazon’s guidelines. Specifically, I’m considering using the term 'Medical Grade' to describe the adhesive quality of my tape.
My manufacturer, based in China, has provided documentation certifying that the adhesive used meets 'medical grade' standards. I would like to know if there are any specific requirements or best practices I should follow when including this claim in my product listing, especially to avoid potential compliance issues.
Has anyone had experience with making similar claims or can share advice on what Amazon looks for to approve such descriptions? Any input or guidance on how to navigate this while staying compliant would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance for your help!

It's a good question, but be careful with this:
"My manufacturer, based in China, has provided documentation certifying that the adhesive used meets 'medical grade' standards."
I would make sure the documentation applies to the market you will be selling into, using recognized accreditation bodies. There have problems in the past with certificates that only apply in the country of origin. There are also many instances of bogus or doctored certificates, as noted by the FDA in recent years:
Some device manufacturers and distributors have used registration certificates to create the misimpression that FDA has reviewed, approved, cleared or authorized their products.
