Buyer demanded refund! Package is now delivered delivered.
Hello all,
I have a question and would like some input if possible. I had a buyer reach out to us stating the package was not delivered so the want a refund. We used Amazon shipping, shipped on time but seams like the package was delayed. They ordered on Dec 20th and the item was supposed to be delivered by Dec 28th. We messaged the buyer and stated to please hold off a few day's as the package was delayed and will ultimately be delivered. They demanded we refund them and because this was less than $30 we did just to make them happy. I did not want them to open an A2z because I did not know what the outcome would be and they can also leave Negative feedback. If there any way we can recoup the funds? I read something that Amazon would now would notify the buyer that the package was delivered and they would still be responsible? Does this apply to this case?
Thank you all

That is for A-Z claims.
We recognize that sometimes late deliveries happen. If a refund has already been issued for an A-to-z Guarantee claim and the item was delivered within 30 days of the refund date, we will now email the customer on your behalf and request them to either return the item or cancel the refund issued. You don’t need to appeal the claim or message the customer separately, but do keep an eye on the return request and emails from us for updates on the decision. To help avoid claims, please ensure you are always following Amazon’s policies on fulfillment and returns, including shipping on time with a valid tracking number.

Not likely to get refunded by Amazon -- because you already refunded. They view this as you admitting fault. Since we use Amazon's Buy Shipping for FBM orders we always send customers to submit an A-Z INR claim.
