Why is a customer allowed to open a "wrong item sent" on an order that hasn't arrived?
Customer ordered product, not even 2 days later opened a return reason that the wrong item was sent. Tracking number shows it just left my local UPS.
Amazon, give me a reason why the customer would be allowed to open such a claim? Billion dollar technology but allowing people to fraudulently open return reasons because they don't dont want to pay return shipping?
This is a very heavy product that I had to pay $40 to ship to customer, and now I'll have to pay for return shipping back.

Hello @Seller_iBBg2u3RlFGBY
Thank you for posting your inquiry to the Forums.
I understand that you have a concern regarding a return request that you received. Was the return authorized by Amazon or did it require manual authorization? Please advise if you have acase opened with our Support team regarding this concern; You can provide the case ID number to this thread and I can review the correspondence already provided.
I have also included some help pages on Amazon's return policy for your reference if needed:

Try to contact the customer. They may have the wrong order.
Many times they will not send it back. They are just trying to manipulate the system to see if they can get anything free.
If it does come back, fill out a saf-t-claim. You should be able to get back any money you spent shipping too and back plus the return fee.

This is Amazon upside down world. Trying to make sense of Amazon policy will cause you to end up in a padded room pumped full of Thorazine.

Maybe not. The customer could easily call Amazon Customer Service and make a long sob story of how you the seller was taking advantage of him. The Rep could refund in full on the spot. You will not have to pay the return shipping saving you the $40.00. It happens every day to sellers.

This is exactly why it is beneficial to use amazon's buy shipping. If the buyer sends back the item and it is obviously the same item the buyer ordered, you can submit a safety claim for both outbound and inbound shipping. You will not be on the hook at all.
