Shipping Settings Automation (SSA) and shipping charges

How do you know what shipping costs should be set at for FBM orders?

Each products dimensions and weights are different, each order is different, delivery addresses different, etc.

Do you use Per Item/Weight-Based or Price Banded (whatever that is)?

What are some things you have done/tried to keep shipping costs down for customers without "eating" any of the costs?

Does SSA make a difference in your FBM orders?

Thank you for your feedback.

Hello @Seller_tzb0Adb4whsRu

Christine here from Amazon Forums.

Carrier shipping corrections are calculated based on the package weight and dimensions measured by the carriers when delivering the product. For USPS shipping, the cost is based on the actual weight. For example, for UPS shipping, the cost is based on the billable weight, which is the greater of the actual weight or the dimensional weight.
