Returns and Cancelled orders

When a buyer either cancels or returns an order does that particular item get put on as active again? I use FBA

If the order is canceled, then it should go back into inventory; although the reality is not 100% make it there.

If it is returned, then Amazon checks it to deem whether or not it is sellable again; if it is, back into inventory, if not, you get a notice of "Unfulfillable Inventory". The problem of course here is that the person making the decision likely has no clue about your particular product, so it's not uncommon for items that really should not be sold being put back in inventory, or items that are perfectly good being declared Unfulfillable.

But in theory, it works.
