Title can not be edited
I have a parent ASIN that with two child ASINs, I just tried to edited one of the child ASIN's title, but it failed when I did it from backed seller central. Then I used template file to update it, it showed 8005 errors: You are attempting to change an identity attribute for this SKU. To proceed, please delete this SKU and recreate the SKU with the appropriate identity attribute. Amazon seller support tried to amended it for me, it failed as well. So according the amazon system feedback, i need to delete that listing and recerate it after 24 hours, but am afraid that will let my rank go down.
Does anyone that can give me the better option to update my listing title without delete the listing and recreate, very appreciated

I have had this issue. No matter how many times you edit or try to change a child's title it will always default to the parent's title. Try to make the parent's title generic so that the title suits all child ASINs.
If the child ASIN is really different. Go into the Parent and delete that child as a variation. Then that child is "free" and a stand alone listing and then you can edit the child because it is no longer attached to the parent's listing details.

Some categories show the parent title for all child items, and some show the child-specific title on the product detail page. So, you need to know your category limitation, if any.
Then, is it your private label branded item or a generic item? Generic items are hard to edit once set up.
