Selling on Amazon US without sending FBA stock overseas?

I have my listings selling in Australia via FBA, and used Build International Listings for the US market. The listings are active but without any stock.

Is there a way US buyers can buy my products without me having to send them to US Amazon? Also without me fulfilling them personally.

I can see on many listings when I use Amazon personally that products listed on the US Amazon can be bought with international delivery (assuming the stock is located in Amazon US warehouses only).

Is this something I can enable for my products?

Completely separate question - what's the best and cheapest way to send a 30x30x30cm, 3kg FBA package to the US warehouse? I went through the standard 'send to Amazon' process, but the partnered carrier (UPS) isn't an option. Seems like it might be quite expensive?

I'd also be interested in if people have knowledge of this too. As far as I know, Amazon AU "imports" from overseas marketplace's FBA FCs, but doesn't allow export - which creates lots of one sided competition for us AU sellers.
