How does a brand owner revoke registration?

Dear Amazon

We are an Amazon Seller who wants to work with a brand and become their importer of record and exclusive Amazon retailer. They gave their Brand Registry ownership account to some third party years ago and are unable to give us Brand Registry rights. That account is inaccessible to the brand owner.

I have a letter from the attorney representing the trademark owner of the brand asking Amazon to remove the brand from Brand Registry. but every time I submit it to Amazon they say I cannot remove the brand from brand registry because my account is not the Brand Registry account tied to the brand - argh!

Right now whenever we file a Brand Registry request to be added for the brand, it's just going to some Vendor Central account that the brand owner has no relationship with anymore, and hasn't for years. That account is unresponsive and unable to transfer privileges to us for the brand.

Will someone please help me? What do you suggest? We have a a shipment on the way, are approved for Launchpad, and are very excited to get this brand and product launched on Amazon US.
