Quick Tip: Credit or debit card update

Hi Sellers,
Here are a few tips to help you with updating your credit or debit card details:
- To fully refresh your card details it is best to use the “Add Charge Method” option rather than “Edit” the existing card, even if the card number is the same.
- Prepaid credit cards are not accepted.
- The card must have adequate credit limit to pay for the charge. You may see a small pending charge on your statement but this will not be charged.
- The billing address that you entered must match the billing address on your credit or debit card statement.
- The card holder’s name that you entered must match the card holder’s name on your credit or debit card.
Generally, credit card verification is completed in 2 minutes but at times could take 48 hours, depending on your card issuer.
If you still get an error message or cannot complete verification successfully, contact your financial institution, as it might be able to provide further details on the verification problem. Then try completing the process again. It can take up to 48 hours for your card to be authorised. If you continue to experience issues with your card, we recommend entering an alternative credit or debit card.

I have done everything possible to look into this and have tried every card I own and still can't get it to work.
No advice on the forums seems to help either.
There is no number to call amazon to work through this issue - where is the customer support? Its appalling.
I had a card set up and working now my account is blocked, and I can't even set it up with the same old card.
