Projectile toys

Important: If you supply products for sale on Amazon, you must comply with all federal, state, local laws, and Amazon policies applicable to those products and product listings.

Amazon’s policies require that projectile toys sold through the Amazon website meet the testing requirement as per specified standards. In order to sell these products on Amazon, you must apply and submit the following to :

  1. Company name
  2. Seller / Vendor ID
  3. Email address
  4. Phone number
  5. A list of Projectile Toy ASINs you are applying to sell
  6. Image of the safety warning requirement displaying on the packaging and instructions accompanying the projectile toy (as required under the relevant standards below)
  7. Documentation from an accredited testing laboratory or organisation is required to confirm that the product was tested and found to comply with the applicable standards listed in the following table:

    This mandatory standard includes a transition period to assist with the changeover to the new mandatory standard.

Note: You certify that all materials that you submit are true, authentic, and accurate. Amazon may remove your selling privileges for failing to meet these requirements.

What is a projectile toy?

Children’s projectile toys are products supplied new that are designed or clearly intended for use in play by children up to the age of fourteen years, and which are capable of launching a projectile.

Projectile toys can include:

  • guns or other pull-back toys that shoot small darts (less than 57 mm) into the air
  • toys that can shoot improvised objects, such as nails, into the air at high speed.
