Listed below are upcoming changes to Amazon’s program policies.
The following change will come into effect on June 8, 2022.
We are updating the Amazon Renewed Quality Requirements (Australia). This program policy only applies if you participate in the Amazon Renewed program.
To ensure a great customer experience, we have introduced new performance metrics for this program. Renewed sellers must maintain a percentage of Negative Reviews over Orders (NRO) below 1.0% and a Product Quality Return Rate (PQRR) below 8.0% to continue selling on Amazon Renewed. These new requirements will replace the Product Review Score metric.
We have also: (a) included new requirements for Office Products, Vacuums, and Cameras (b) clarified the general product quality requirements (c) updated requirements for the Wireless, Personal Computers, Small Kitchen Appliances, and Power Tools categories and (d) specified additional Apple iPhone models that are now supported by the Renewed program.
Effective 7 June, 2022, the Amazon Easy Ship fee schedule will be updated. The revised fees are set out below, based on the weight and dimensions of the consignment. Unless otherwise stated, all fees are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and do not include applicable taxes, such as GST.

Effective March 11, 2022, we are not accepting registrations from Russia or Belarus. For more information, see Countries accepted for seller registration.
The Single-use plastic page has been added to our Restricted Products policy. Effective March 15, 2022, the specified Single-use plastic products noted on this page will no longer be permitted for sale on Amazon.com.au.
Effective January 17, 2022, all wand massagers and kegel/ben wa balls will be classified as adult products. These items will continue to be available for sale and discoverable to all customers searching for them within their current listing category. The following change will enter into effect on January 11, 2021.
We are launching Amazon Currency Converter for Sellers (ACCS) in Seller Central Australia. Sellers on the Australia site will now have access to ACCS and its volume-based fees. With ACCS, sellers can disburse their net earnings through 19 supported currencies and directly sign-up within Seller Central. Sellers who already use other FX services, such as Hyperwallet, to exchange and disburse their funds overseas can continue to use their current service with no additional steps required. However, any payments disbursed through those services will not be eligible for volume-based fees.

The following change will enter into effect on September 21, 2021.
We are adding the Unsuitable inventory investigations policy as a new program policy. Under this policy, if there is reasonable suspicion that a seller may have been engaged in the sale of counterfeit products or other illegal goods at Amazon, we may require additional information regarding the affected FBA inventory. If the requested information is not provided, or we reasonably determine after investigation that the inventory constitutes unsuitable units, we may dispose of it in accordance with the FBA Service Terms.
The following change will come into effect on October 1, 2021.
We are updating the FBA Customer Returns policy to extend the festive period returns window. The Amazon extended Holiday Return policy for 2021 requires most orders purchased between October 1 and December 31 to be returnable until January 31, 2022.
This policy includes orders that are shipped by you and orders that are shipped by Amazon. For more information, visit Extended Christmas Returns Policy.
The following change will come into effect on May 26, 2021:
We are adding the FBA Shipping Programs and Exports policy as a new program policy. Under this policy, you are able to expand your business by selling eligible FBA products to customers in New Zealand. Each seller account is automatically enabled for ‘FBA Export’ unless you have disabled this program in Seller Central. Ensure that all FBA export-eligible products can be lawfully exported without any licence or other authorisation, and they can be lawfully imported into, and comply with all applicable laws of, any FBA export-eligible country.
We are making two changes to the FBA lost and damaged inventory reimbursement policy starting May 14, 2021, to simplify your lost and damaged reconciliation process when you file claims.
For the first change, we are removing the limitation of waiting 30 days from the date inventory is lost or damaged in an Amazon fulfilment centre to file a claim. With our updated Inventory Adjustments report, lost or damaged FBA inventory adjustments will only be displayed when they have been reconciled or are eligible for a reimbursement claim. For any lost FBA inventory that has not been reimbursed or found and damaged inventory that has not been reimbursed, a claim may be filed with Amazon immediately.
For the second change, we are reducing the time for submitting claims on items missing from shipments sent to Amazon from nine months to six months to align with available carrier tracking information.

We are making changes to the Amazon Marketplace Fair Pricing policy. These changes will go into effect in 15 days, that is, April 24, 2021.

Effective from October 15, 2020, we are updating our Supply Chain Standards page to provide details about our existing policy and help you adhere to these guidelines. Our standards include the Amazon supplier code of conduct, which requires that products be manufactured in safe, healthy, and inclusive work environments. The Supply Chain Standards page also provides information about why the standards are important, how we implement them, and the potential consequences for violations.
