Same Day handling time

Same Day handling time allows you to show the customer a faster delivery promise that reflects your ability to pick, pack, and ship a product the same day of receiving an order. This only applies to orders received before the cut-off time, which is defaulted to 2 p.m. (time zone of your Default shipping address). You can change this cut-off time in your General Shipping Settings (Settings > Shipping Settings > General Shipping Settings > Click ‘Edit’ on Cut Off Time section.)

The feature is only available to sellers that meet high delivery performance standards.

Requirements for Same-Day handling time:

  • Be able to meet the following performance requirements on a trailing 30-day basis:
    • A Late Shipment Rate less than 2% across all your shipments, which must not increase above 4% after Same-Day handling is enabled.
    • The seller's average real handling time should be one working day or less.
  • Ship at least 10 orders per month

Note: Same Day handling time should not be confused with Same Day Delivery. For Premium Shipping (Same Day Delivery, Next Day Delivery, and Two Day Delivery), the delivery date is automatically set and you are always required to ship a product the same day as long as the order is received before the order cut-off time.

Order Cut-off Times

The default order cut-off times for your Standard and Expedited Shipping (when Same Day Handling Time is enabled) orders is set to 2:00 p.m. (time zone of your Default shipping address). You can change this cut-off time in your General Shipping Settings (Settings > Shipping Settings > General Shipping Settings > Click ‘Edit’ on Cut Off Time section).
