What is Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA)?

Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA) is a chemical used for skin treatments including facial peels, and scar and wart removal. TCA is most commonly used in clinical settings by trained practitioners, as the tolerability and effect of a TCA peel is influenced by the concentration, length of time left on the skin, individual skin type, and concomitant use of skin care products.
