Aquatic toys

Important: If you supply products for sale on Amazon, you must comply with all federal, state, and local laws and Amazon policies applicable to those products and product listings.

Amazon’s policies require that Aquatic Toys sold through the Amazon website meet specified certification standards. In order to sell these products on Amazon, you must apply and submit the following to

  1. Company name
  2. Seller ID
  3. Email address
  4. Phone number
  5. A list of Aquatic Toy ASINs you are applying to sell
  6. Image of the safety warning requirement displaying on the product (as required under the relevant standards below)
  7. Documentation from a testing laboratory or organisation is required to confirm the product was tested and found to comply with the applicable standards listed in the following table:

Note: You certify that all materials that you submit are true, authentic, and accurate. Amazon may remove your selling privileges for failing to meet these requirements.

What are Aquatic Toys?

This mandatory standard applies to aquatic toys that are designed:

  • to bear the mass of a child under the age of 14
  • for use in play in shallow water by a child

whether or not it is inflatable and whether or not it is designed to be worn or otherwise attached to the body.

Aquatic toys can include but are not limited to:

  • inflatable novelty shapes
  • inflatable toy boats for shallow water
  • unattached rings — complete or partial

The mandatory standard excludes:

  • beach balls
  • surfboards
  • bodyboards
  • inflatable air beds
  • inflatable boats for deep water
  • kickboards
