Amazon limits the addition of new sellers in certain categories to ensure a high level of
quality so that customers are able to buy with confidence from all Amazon sellers. To sell Grocery &
Gourmet Food, you must meet the requirements listed below. While our site-wide selling guidelines still apply,
bear the additional requirements for this category in mind.
Seller requirements

You must be registered as a seller on the Professional Selling on Amazon program.

You must have an inventory of more than one product in this category.

You must have a return delivery address in the local country or provide free delivery.

You must be able to provide local language support for customer service in the marketplace in which the
sale is intended.

Your own company website is not required, but it is helpful to use for review during the application
process.

You must provide acceptable documentation (for example, valid invoices) and other information that we
request about the products that you intend to sell.
Product requirements

The products that you sell must be new.

All products must be intended for sale within Australia and comply with all laws and
regulations of Australia.
Document requirements:
Submit the invoices for one grocery product showing:

Dated within 180 days.

Include your name and address.
-
Include the name and address of the manufacturer or distributor.

Show the combined purchase of at least 10 units.

Remove pricing information (optional).

Note that we may verify your submitted documentation by contacting product vendors you identify in your
application.
Submit product pictures for one represented grocery product with below information specified:

Are live photos, rather than computer generated images.

Clearly display all side of the product or its packaging.

Include model number, product name, or both.
-
Include the name and physical location of the business or manufacturer.

The label must be in the country’s local language (English).
-
Must contain net weight and or net quantity information on the label.

Must contain the expiration date information with the format of DD/MM/YY (or DD/MM/YYYY).

Must contain nutrition information on the label.

Must contain advisory statements, warning statements, and declarations (if applicable).
Submit self-declaration by following below guidance:

Submit the declaration demonstrating “I will adhere to the requirements outlined on Seller Central and all
applicable laws and regulations regarding food products in Australia”

The declaration must be printed on the seller’s letter head

The declaration must contain the name of the seller

The declaration must contain a signature which could be physical or digital one
