Product registration and labelling requirements

It is your responsibility to ensure that all electrical products offered for sale on Amazon are safe and meet the relevant Australian standards. Every State and/or Territory in Australia has legislation requiring electrical products be both:

  • Registered with the relevant electrical authority database.
  • Labelled with a safe electronic products approval mark before sale.

The conformance requirements will differ by product depending on the potential risk an electrical product poses. The higher the risk of a product, the greater the conformance criteria. For details on these requirements, please consult the Electrical Regulatory Authorities Council website.
