Selling Toys in AU

Important: If you supply products for sale on Amazon, you must comply with all federal, state, and local laws and Amazon policies applicable to those products and product listings.

Amazon’s policies require that Toys sold through the Amazon website meet specified certification standards. In order to sell these products on Amazon, you must apply and submit the following to child-safety@amazon.com.au


  1. Company name
  2. Seller ID
  3. Email address
  4. Phone number
  5. A list of Toy ASINs you are applying to sell
  6. Documentation from an accredited testing laboratory or organisation is required to confirm the product was tested and found to comply with the applicable standards listed in the following table:

  • AS/NZS ISO 8124.1:2002 (including CPN amendments #14 of 2003)

and/or

  • AS/NZS ISO 8124.3:2003 (including CPN amendments #1 of 2009)

Note: You certify that all materials you submit are true, authentic, and accurate. Amazon may remove your selling privileges for failing to meet these safety requirements.

What is a Toy?

In Australia, toys for children are toys that are designed or clearly intended for use in play by children under the age of 14 years.
